BLIND MELON BABY!

Most people outside of my group of oh…. 2,000 forum members may be oblivious to the fact that Blind Melon is back together and out on tour! I’m waiting in anticipation (very impatiently) for the announcement of a Florida show. It could be down in Key West or up in Tallahassee and I’M THERE! I’m even considering truckin’ it up to GA if it’s on a weekend. A bunch of my friends have already gone to the first few shows this month and I hope I’m next.

Head over to Blindmelon.com for more tour info.

The shop owner told me genie’s existed.

knowing that I’m supposed to be somewhere right now breaks my heart. I feel like I’ve been let down again by my luck. The pathetic thing is no matter how hard I work to get ahead, it always comes down to money and how much of it I don’t have.

This has been the longest week ever and it’s still not over yet. I’ve had a headache every day for the last 5 days and I have a really painful backache that won’t seem to go away. I know it’s from the weather. Humid, rainy weather always makes me sore. Damn you, Mother Nature. I just want to go to sleep and not wake up until October 1st. I’m not depressed, so please don’t send messages asking me if I need help… I’m ok, I’m just physically exhausted and a little sad that I won’t be spending this weekend with friends up north.

::pause for the longest yawn ever::

…that had to have looked funny. I’m glad no one was around with a camera handy.

Have mercy on the devil, he’s a friend of mine.

What’s going on people?! I almost forgot I had this thing for a while.

A few weeks ago I was in the process of converting this blog over to
paralyzedfreedom.com and ofcourse I have no luck in having things go the right way and let’s just say that GoDaddy can kiss my ass. Maybe one day they’ll decide to actually help me when I call the support line and I’ll finally have the domaine up and running that I payed for nearly two months ago.

Can you guys believe it’s already Fall!? It sure doesn’t feel like it here in Florida though. Hot is an understatement. I usually get really excited for Halloween way ahead of time… about the same time as the stores start putting out decorations. This year is different. I have no interest in halloween whatsoever. I think it’s because I’m alone now. My brother and his wife moved out so I don’t have them to hype me up (they’re into halloween just as much as I am), I’m not working at the school anymore, so I don’t have any room to decorate and I’m working ALOT. Granted, we sell alot of halloween stuff through our company but I can’t afford any of it. Remember when you were a kid and you didn’t believe adults when they told you that growing up sucks? Well, they weren’t lying. Overdrafting your bank account every week just so you can make 20 dollars stretch the entire week for food is not a good feeling at all. I know that my paychecks will pick up in the next few weeks which is a relief. I’m looking forward to when I pay off my truck and I will have extra money so I can start looking for apartments/rentals.

I was moved to a different department at work which I lasted three days in before I asked if I could be moved back to my other department. I’m sure you’ve all been there… tried something new but realized it just wasn’t for you? I’m much happier in customer service (that sounds funny, right?… who’s ever happy working in customer service?) Well, you’re looking at her. Work has been going alright. Some friends of mine have been promoted to supervisory positions and you can see it already going to their head. I just let it run off like water though, no sense in getting mad about their attitude. Another problem (that doesn’t bother me) is that we have this contest to see who can upsell on calls. When you get an extra sale, your name goes up on the board and you bump someone off. At the end of the day whoever is left up on the board wins a prize…. let’s just say that I’ve gotten a few and other people are jealous. I’m not going to STOP trying to sell stuff just to make people happy…. hell, I don’t even care about the prizes, I just like the fact that we get paid a $1.00 cash for everyone we sell. That’s a week of gas money every week that I don’t have.

I’ve been watching the Austin City Limits Festival online. It was a pretty big disappointment until now. Dax Riggs has been playing for about an hour now and I’m a happy girl. I was planning on driving up to see him at the House of Blues in Orlando next thursday but I can’t get off work early enough to make sure I get there in time. Being able to see him perform live at lollapalooza and now at ACL has made up for that…almost :) Blue October is playing at 4:30 CMT today if anyone’s interested

I want to go to the beach tomorrow. It’s just entirely too hot not too. I’d go to a pool except every “public” pool around here charges money to get in and you’re basically paying to go dive into a bowl full of bodily fluids…. not my thing. The sunsets are
starting to show all their glorious colors as fall creeps in so maybe I’ll come home with some good shots.

Have a great weekend everybody. “Be good to yourself, and eachother”

Pssst! VOTE FOR CAS HALEY!

Imagine that, I’m talking about Cas Haley! He made it to the final 4 and next Tuesday is the result show, so you know what that means…

We all must vote like mad!!

Call 1-866-60-AGT-01 up to ten times (per phone#)

or go to the America’s Got Talent website and vote up to 10 times per email/phone#. While
I think the other contestants on the show are well worthy of winning… I’m sticking by Cas because I know that he would make a hell of an album, especially with his band Woodbelly.

In other news, work is still going well. I start more training tomorrow for drop shipping and various other Customer Service functions. I really like the fact that they constantly give
us more things to learn because it keeps me busy. The phone calls become repetitive but I would rather have 100 of the same calls than have to deal with angry parents or screaming kids all day. No question. Today was kind of a down day though, my supervisor’s son died over the weekend so she’s not going to be there for a few days. She’s kind of a tough person to read so I could never tell if she liked me or disliked me but when stuff like that happens to people.. it doesn’t matter, your heart just feels so badly for them. My thoughts are definately with her and I hope that she has strength to get through it.

My grandmother recently found out that the cancer she had previously in her throat returned in her stomach so she’s been in the hospital having surgery to remove it. I really hope that they get it all this time and it doesn’t spread again. I love her so much and even though she’s a very strong person, I don’t know how many more times she can go through it. I’ve thought about her alot lately and I feel that she’s probably the one family member that I’m most like. She does alot for everyone else but when it comes down to it, she’s invisible. I’ve never really seen her be able to do something that she truly loved outside of raising her family. I know deep down that if she hadn’t of had 7 kids to raise or grandkids to take care of that she would be out exploring the world. I’ve seen photographs that she took when she was my age and I see myself in her pictures. The way that she had an eye for landscapes and composition .. I wonder if she was fond of photography. I’ve asked her before and she’s just shrugged at me but there’s got to be something that she wanted to do when she was younger. I’d like to help her do that sometime, one thing she wanted to do before she died… I think that would mean alot.

One thing that I would like to do, now that I’m capable of doing it again is getting my
own place, or atleast a good roommate. I want a house that I can call my own where I can paint and decorate, design and remodel … something that’s truly my own. I’m giving myself 6 months as a starting point. That’s more than reasonable, right?

Random Thought of the Day

Did I mention that I’m in love with Daniel Cage? You may not know him yet but you may know part of his song from the new Saturn Hybrid commercial. It’s a really catchy guitar riff which made me immediately hop on the internet in hopes of finding information on the artist. A few forums later I found a link to his myspace and I’m anxiously awaiting for the song “Higher” to sneak it’s way online so I can add it to my Ipod until his album is released.
I want to jump up and down! I’m get so excited when I come across new music that really turns my ear.

Check him out, show your support and look out for his songs to appear on commercials, tv shows and MTV!

Music Recco of the Day!

Check out the Rock-N-Roll Fireworks that is “We are the fury”. It may remind you a bit of David Bowie with the Gorillas and The White Stripes thrown in for good measure.

Here is a video of them performing the song “So Physical” live at The Tree in Oklahoma.
